The museum will be open from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-16, and ages 5 and under are free (cash only). Proceeds will go to the non-profit Friends of the Antelope Indian Museum endowment fund to help support the museum during these tough economic times.<\/p>\n<p>Get a close-up look at the dramatic rocks of Piute Butte on a night hike led by State Parks Interpreter Jean Rhyne. This summer our night hikes will be even more special as they will include a visit to an American Indian rock carving site. This site is normally closed to park visitors, so the hike will provide a rare and unique opportunity to view it!<\/p>\n<p>This event will be opening night for the new \u201cEnduring Patterns of the Southwest\u201d exhibit. This is the third exhibit revealing Southwest pottery that has been hidden in a State Parks warehouse in Sacramento since the 1970s. This exhibit will only be on display until the end of September, so come see it while you can. A sample of pottery from this collection can also be seen on the State Parks website at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.museumcollections.parks.ca.gov\/\" rel=\"nofollow\">www.museumcollections.parks.ca.gov<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The art gallery in Joshua Cottage will also be open during this event. Visitors will be able to enjoy rock art-themed paintings by Jean Chernoff and Charles LaMonk in addition to paintings by museum founder H. A. Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>The museum is located at 15701 East Avenue M, in Lake Los Angeles, east of Lancaster. From the 14 Freeway in Lancaster, go east on Avenue K to 150th Street East. Turn right and go south for two miles to Avenue M. Turn left and go east on Avenue M for 1 mile to the museum.
